You too can help us help those in need with your donation of time equipment and financial support. We appreciate any and all the help you can provide for this event.

Bachman Recreation Center

Thanks to both Ed and Sara at the Bachman Recreation Center at Bachman Lake. We're please to have use of the classroom, assembly room/workshop and the pool at Bachman Recreation Center, the premier faculty for rehab and mobility challenged person's within the Dallas Park and Recreation Dept, and a wonderful resource for everyone in Dallas. Bachman Lake

While Bachman is not the jewel of Dallas, it has played a key role in the Park system. This small lake on the edge of the runway for Love Field Airport has been attracting visitors for several years with it's quaint features and location. Not to mention that visitors are also treated to up close view of landing aircraft most any day of the week.

Whiterock Lake Park

Know to many as the Jewel of Dallas WRL is one of the largest impoundments 1000+ acres of water completely inside a large urban area of over 3 million people. On any day you may see kayaks, canoes, sailboats and on special days maybe even antique motor boats. The Dam was finished in 1911 and this lake served as the water supply to the City of Dallas for many years, in fact the original pump house is still on the lake, it is however used for things other than water for the City of Dallas.

REI Dallas

If you need quality gear or expert advice for human powered sports in Dallas there is only one store, REI. Stop by and visit with Todd the manager or Mike the outreach person, to see how you can become an active member of your community's environmental stewardship. REI Dallas put's it's money where it's mouth is by supporting many various and unique outdoor projects in the local area. You to can become part of the solution call 972 490 5989.

Red River Division

A group of volunteers that focus their effort in support of the ACA, while trying to effect positive change and growth in Paddlesports in Texas Oklahoma Arkansas Louisiana and Mississippi. The Red River Division maintains a website at www.aca-redriverdiv.org or you can contact them at 800- 906 4241 with your questions comments or concerns for paddling.

If you need instruction rentals repair events or trip support in the North Texas area contact kayakpower at 469-261-4253 or info@kayakpower.com. Kayakpower.com has supported events for intercity youth, special needs kids, and several other area groups with water based education and safety. KPC also provides event water safety and support for adventure races and works with both the Boy and Girl scouts. In addition to the kids and group activities KPC also volunteers to help protect the environment and works with communities to support water based clean up of various Lakes Creeks and river in Texas.
